An organ’s sound can be altered to sound like different instruments, while a piano can only play the sound it was built for. In the vast majority of cases, the piano is a single manual instrument with a range of seven and a quarter octaves. In contrast, church organs can have up to five manuals plus a pedal board. This means that for the organ you not only have to use your hands to play the instrument but also your feet. A piano is a percussion instrument while an organ is a wind instrument. Piano keys are mechanically attached to a hammer while organ keys are not.
According to me, the main differnce of organ vs piano is that Organ and piano both instruments using keyboards to play but the keys of keyboards are different. Organ keyboard you can perform either by hand or feet. During the release of the notes, you have to pay more attention. It creates sound electronically when the key depressed. Although organ and piano share the same order of keys on the keyboard, they have more differences than similarities in terms of touch. For prospective organists who have previous piano experience it is important to recognize and appreciate these differences. Understanding the different physical feeling when pressing piano and organ keys are vital for successful adaptation to the organ.

2018-08-14 · A piano has 88 notes, which range from A0 to C8 (middle C is C4). Many digital pianos can be found in this size, but smaller ranges such as 61 or 76 keys are more common and cost-friendly alternatives. A lot of piano music can be played in full on 76-key models, as the highest and lowest keys on the board are often ignored by composers. Both pianos are good. YDP 184 is a bit better by specifications and as per me it looks more stylish then S54. So if the budget is not a problem, then I would go for the first one. The keyboard action in these two pianos is the same, but 184 has more polyphony voices (256 vs 192), more instrument voices and rhythm patterns.

I offer only a preliminary explanation, as a more detailed one could take days or weeks for me to type… A piano can only sound like a piano, however, an organ can be altered to sound like a variety of woodwind and reed instruments. Additionally, a piano’s key needs to be pressed repetitively to sustain that particular note, however, the organ will sustain the note for as long as the key is depressed. Keyboards are digital and don’t have strings and hammers like a piano. Keyboards are digital, whereas pianos are acoustic.
